Here are some basic instructions for listing properties. If your problem isn't solved here, please do not hesitate to contact the site administration.

I am not a Real Estate Agent. Can I still list my property for sale on here?

Yes. This service is for both Agents and For Sale by Owners. The term Agent is used to denote both forms of sellers.

I want to list a property for a friend, can I do that?

If you are not a Realtor®, but wish to submit a property for sale that is owned by someone other than yourself you can, but certain conditions must be met.

• You cannot receive any compensation for assisting in the sale of said property. To do so in the province of Saskatchewan requires you be licensed.
• You must create an Agent membership for the owner of the property, using all their own contact information. If they do not have an email address or access to the internet, you can submit their listing under your profile; however, you must have written authority from all legal owners of said property to advertise it for sale.

I have registered as an Agent, but I still cannot log in.

All agent registration requests are reviewed by Country Towns administration prior to approval. Once you have submitted your signup request, please allow 24 hours for your request to be approved. You will receive an email once your request has been reviewed.

I can login, but it won't let me access the listing administration to submit my property for sale.

You may have registered as a member, rather than as an Agent. Members do not have property listing privileges, only Agents. A simple way to check this is to click on the link "View Agents" and see if your name is listed. If you have registered as a member and would like to list a property for sale, you will need to create a new request. Member status cannot be changed. Follow the link titled "Sell Property" to register as an Agent.

I was able to login before, but now I can't.

Ensure you are using the correct password. Again, check your email. If your account has been suspended for any reason, you will receive an email from Administration explaining why.

I submitted a listing, and it was saved, but now it’s gone.

Check your email. It's possible your listing did not follow the criteria required to be listed on Country Towns and has bee removed by Administration. If that is the case you will receive an email from us explaining why. In some cases, your listing may have been set as inactive due to errors that require correction. If that is the case you will receive an email explaining the error and what is required from you to reactivate the listing.

On the listing submission page, I don't see where I add photos of my property.

First submit the listing, after it has been activated, you will see a link titled "edit images". Use that link to then upload your pictures. You can upload up to 7 pictures.

What is a "Virtual Tour"?

A Virtual tour is a slide show of pictures. If it is enabled on your Agent account, you can upload up to 15 more pictures. There is a fee for enabling virtual tours.

How do I get my property listed as a "Feature ad"?

Featured ads are enabled by administration. There is a fee for this and a limit of 5 featured ads at one time.

I have a complaint about a listing, Agent, member or buyer, what do I do?

Listings - If you have a complaint about a specific listing, email your complaint through our "Contact Us" link in the left column. Be sure to explain your complaint in detail, as well as including a link to the listing. Go to the listings page, then copy and paste from your browser's address bar (i.e. http://www.countrytowns.ca/realestate/index.php?action=listingview&listingID=1). Include the name of the listing agent as well.

Agent, member or buyer - Email administration with a full explanation of your complaint.

Understand that Country Towns Rural Saskatchewan Real Estate is simply an advertising venue. Though we take the utmost care to insure the integrity of the Agents, Sellers and listings on this site, we take no responsibility for the claims made or actions taken by such users and listings. If we feel a listing is misleading or any breach has been made of any laws or regulations governing the Sale or Advertising or Real Estate within the province of Saskatchewan, we reserve the right to remove listings and suspend Agent privileges as we see fit. As a buyer or seller it is your responsibility to thoroughly verify claims made about a property and to retain legal counsel regarding any sale or purchase of any property.

If your complaint is invovling a Realtor® you also need to submit your complaint to the AGency the Realtor® is licensed with. If you are not satisfied with there resolution of your complaint, you have the option to forward the complaint to the Saskatchewan Real Estate Association (SREA) and/or the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA).

I would like to list a property for sale by tender, can I do that?

Yes. In place of your price, write your upset price, fair market value or "0" in the "Price" box of the listing form. Be sure to check the box titled "For Sale by Tender" and ensure your Tender deadline is entered in the "Tender Deadline" box.
